All People with an Interest in The Gathering 2009,
• The Gathering will be held on July 25th. - 26th. 2009 with the Clan Convention on July 24th.
• People will need to purchase a ticket and there are two types of tickets.
• Passport ticket will let you attend both days of the Highland Games, Clan Parade Up the Royal Mile, and Clan Pageant.
• Highland Games tickets are day passes to the Highland Games.
PLEASE NOTE:
• Passport tickets will go on sale at the end of March 2008.
• There are only 8,500 of these tickets.
• Pre-Booking form is available on February 26th.
• Please go to www.thegathering2009.com for pre-booking and Information pertaining to THE Gathering.
• Clan Douglas SNA is listed as an attending clan and we have applied for a clan tent.
The Douglas Tour:
There is some interest in another Douglas Tour but at this time, we have not met the Minimum required people. There are MinI Tours that will be 3 to 4 days in length. I believe these can be all Douglas or a mix of Douglas and other things.

Scotland is having a gathering of all clans in Edinburgh on July 25th & 26th in 2009.
During the Board meeting and AGM, at Ligonier Pa. in September, it was decided that
Clan Douglas Society of North America would participate in this event. The Board also
ask that I be the coordinator. I need for the members that plan to participate to let me know soon as possible. As the information comes from the gathering I will sent it to Tim Tyler so that he can place the information on the Clan Douglas Web and also sent to David Douglas the Newsletter Editor. Like wise as your information comes to me I will sent to the gathering.
There will be, if enough members are interested, a Clan Douglas tour starting on July 27th
which is the next day after the gathering. I would like for this tour to end in Edinburgh
because the Tattoo will start on August 3rd.
Members you can do the following:
1) Gathering of the Clans;
2) Clan Douglas Tour, and
3) The Tattoo. Or any combination of the above. Please let me know what you want to do.
