A Message from Patty McWayne:

A team of historians from the Oregon Cultural Heritage Commission are producing a film on David Douglas.  It's a work in progress.  You probably know that David Douglas is huge in the annals of forestry and botany.  The Douglas fir, an Oregon icon,  was given his name.   During his travels to
places in the Northwest, especially Oregon, he introduced over 200 species of plants and trees into Europe.

There are two gentlemen from Scotland and the United Kingdom coming to Oregon in April to participate in the special screening of Finding David Douglas.  They are:

Syd House, FICFor, Forester, Perth & Argyll Conservancy, Forestry Commission
Scotland
Gordon Mason, Ph.D, Botanist, Sheffield, England

We are having a special screening at the Western Forestry Center on April 8.
