If you plan on attending the The Kansas City Scottish Highland Games and the Clan Douglas 2011 AGM & AGM Banquet on the evening of June 11, reserve your place before May 15, 2011 by sending a check or money order (made out to Clan Douglas of North America) along with a list of persons attending to our Missouri Regent, Harold Edington, 11907 Alberta St., Sugar Creek, MO 64054-1459. Please respond as soon as possible since the numbers attending could possibly affect our dining area. The cost: $25 per person, which includes tax and gratuity. For children 10 and under, the cost is $12.50 per child.
The host hotel for this year’s AGM, Fairfield Inn & Suites KCI, 11820 NW Plaza Circle, Kansas City, Missouri 64153, reports that there are 15-20 rooms still available for reservation. Fairfield Inn & Suites KCI is just minutes from the Kansas City International Airport and approximately 12 miles from Scottish Festival site. The room rate is $81.59 per night ($69.00 plus the 16% or so KC Hotel tax). This rate is available until May 15, after which the non-discount rate is based on hotel availability (and appears to be higher.)
