I believe the book you are referring to is the History of the House of Douglas by Herbert Maxwell. It is a two volume set originally published in 1902. I have a first edition set with the hand painted illustrations, etchings and leather binding in excellent condition for sale. The going price is $1,200 US for the original. However you can also find them on Amazon.com as an eBook for about 5 dollars a volume.

Hi,I am happy to join this great page.My name is Donna Marie Douglas.I was born on 07/30/1959.I lived in Highland Falls,NY until I was 18.My Father was Robert Joseph Douglas married to Florence Fay Douglas.I only know of one GrandParent,my Mother,s mom was Clara Fay.After that I am stumped.I can not even get my Father,s Naval history.
I tried the 23andme,not much help.I talked to seven people and they were all adopted.....

Hello Tracy your Sir James Douglas of Scotland if it is James Douglas (2nd Earl of Queensberry) I am distantly related I do not have the surname Douglas but I am a distant descendant.

Hi there I am Tracy Douglas, daughter of Danny R. Douglas, niece of Kenneth W. Douglas, granddaughter of George G. Douglas all of Erin and Memphis, TN. My Uncle Ken was sent a Book of Douglas about our geneology, all going back to Sir James Douglas of Scottland and it has been lost through my cousin who was tragically killed; Danny D. Douglas, son of Robert Douglas. My uncle Ken can't remember who sent it to him but said it was someone up north and the rest of the family would love to see it.
